Part adaptation, part original story, “Castle Rock” takes place in the spooky town that’s the setting for many of Stephen King’s spookiest stories. “Castle Rock” is still airing new episodes weekly in the first season of the anthology series, but there are enough to make what’s available a binge-worthy proposition.

- The rescue/revolt scenes in the spice mines are reminiscent of those in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, which features Indy saving children from slave labor at the hands of the evil Kali cult.  – Droids featured in the revolt on Kessel include both astromech and protocol droids.  – Speaking of droids, this is the first Star Wars movie to not feature C-3PO or R2-D2, who even popped up briefly in Rogue One. – Scarif is also mentioned in passing. This tropical planet first appeared in Rogue One. Jyn Erso and the other Rebels infiltrate Scarif in order to steal the plans to the Death Star.  – Savareen, the final planet introduced in the movie, first appeared in a West End Games role-playing publication, Star Wars Journal 9, in 1996. In both the old and new canon, the planet is known for is brandy.  – John Powell is only the third composer to score a live-action Star Wars movie (John Williams and Michael Giacchino are the other two, of course). His excellent score features a few homages to Williams’ original music, including sections of "TIE Fighter Attack," "The Asteroid Field," and the "Main Title" theme. All of these musical cues are just exquisite. – You can also hear a slightly modified version of "The Imperial March" in the recruitment video for the Imperial Academy on Corellia.  – Warwick Davis, who first played Wicket the Ewok in Return of the Jedi, makes a cameo in Solo, reprising his cameo role from The Phantom Menace, Weazel, who was first introduced as a thief and member of the Hutt gang on Tatooine. He’s become a spy and Enfys Nest’ lieutenant since then.  – Clint Howard, Ron Howard’s brother, makes a cameo as the guy running the droid fighting pit. But this one seems to be the most favorite episode by fans so far by a mile. I’ve seen complete haters of this show (not here) who seems to be having a complete change of heart after this one episode. That’s a good thing. Even this board seems to have almost unanimous praise for it even if not everyone is in love with it, nearly everyone likes it at least. I didn’t think that would happen so soon if at all lol. It’s proving they DO understand the Trek spirit and is finally homing that a bit more this season. I don’t expect every episode to feel like this one but even if they manage to have just a few a year they will probably win over a lot of fans who dismissed it early on as just being dark and edgy Trek that’s more about GOT back stabbing type of stories and very little in the way of science, mystery, adventure and philosophy. This one episode captivated all of those and why the fanbase seems more positive on it.

But gas companies often have the final say, at least in part because of an arcane legal system that governs mineral ownership. Finally, two years after PSVR’s launch, First Contact delivered the shooter fans had been dreaming of. Using PSVR’s Aim controller to great effect, Firewall offers perhaps the most convincing, arresting online combat in the entire industry. Short, sharp 4 v 4 battles see players working together to clear maps of the enemy. Each match creates a terrific air of tension as you hunt down other players and then trade bullets from behind cover. It’s early days for Firewall but we’d bet this is one of PSVR’s most enduring games.
