In Solo, it seems like Chewie chooses to stay with Han simply because they’re friends.  – The movie never explains how Han learned Shyriiwook, the language spoken by Chewbacca. However, in The Paradise Snare, it’s revealed that Han learned the Wookiee language aboard the Trader’s Luck from a female Wookiee named Dewlannamapia, who raised the young boy as her own son.  In case you’re wondering, there are three Wookiee languages in total: Shyriiwook, Thykarann, and Xaczik.

Mount is excellent as Pike! No question. Of course, he’s being given good material to play and the contrast with the darkness of Lorca makes him seem even more luminous in comparison. IMHO, I’d rather let the writers continue to paint on a broad multi-season canvas and develop Disco’s characters than curtail this with a Pike spinoff.

I hit my usual 70 words per minute on the 10FastFingers typing test. My fingertips still felt good after 2 hours of typing, despite the shallow key travel. After passing the laptop around among my officemates for them to try out and comment, my colleague Andrew Freedman said it best, "It splits the difference between being good for typing a paper and serious gaming."

Agree re the pacing. I LOVED the episode, but was exhausted by the end. Made me glad I didn’t spring for the commercial-free version of CBS All Access. At least I have a few breaks to catch my breath and reflect on what I was watching.
