Labor Day is a great time to hang out with friends and family and do some grilling. It’s also a great time to stay in, watch TV, and do absolutely nothing else. Thanks to streaming services like Netflix, HBO Go, Hulu and Amazon Prime, there are a ton of great shows you can stream while you’re avoiding sunlight. Here are 26 that you’ll be able to wrap up before heading back to work next week.

Showrunner and best-selling author Neil Gaiman is joined by director Douglas Mackinnon and cast including Michael Sheen, David Tennant, and Jon Hamm to give attendees the most in-depth look at “Good Omens” to date and watch never-before-seen exclusive clips from the entire series. The six-episode series coming to Amazon Prime Video is based on the beloved satirical novel “Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch” by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. “Good Omens” is a dark, comedic story set in modern-day Britain that centers on a fussy angel, Aziraphale (played by Sheen) and the loose-living demon, Crowley (played by Tennant) as they join forces to prevent the coming of the Apocalypse.

Importantly, they also stayed on the right side of cheesy. Family flashbacks et al. have often made me cringe in past Trek, but they did not feel cheesy in this episode. I particularly want to commend composer Jeff Russo for the subtle and atmospheric music in this episode. Particularly the Angel vision could have been such a cheesy moment drowned out by soppy strings in typical movie score fashion, but instead the subtle and ethereal score succeeded in making it a moment of wonder. Also, the Discovery musical theme worked for me for the first time in the haunting way it was arranged in the final moments of the episode.

Trek had two choices: ignore how inconsistent tech is– even in the 24th century– with the progress we’re currently making in the real world, OR retcon the technology and the look and feel of ALL Trek to make more contemporary sense as a “real world future.”
