@Afterburn — There’s nothing in canon that suggests Kirk didn’t have a ready room. Just because he never used it, or we were never shown him using it, doesn’t mean there wasn’t one for him on the Enterprise. And yeah, Kirk wasn’t really the lounging type.

I think we’re safe. Pike did say in the episode something along the lines of “Aliens with advance technology would be indistinguishable from God”. The modified Arthur C. quote.

LOL I noticed that too. That was the KIND of stuff I thought we would see more of before Discovery just basically ignored the era completely. But little things like that is cool and updated. I can totally buy it.

The six degrees of freedom (6DOF) shooter genre makes a lot of sense for VR, and Sublevel Zero shows you why. Though it can be dizzying, the sprawling network of mazes you’ll navigate in this procedurally-generated experience can host some incredibly immersive firefights. There’s plenty of content on offer, too, with a campaign that encourages you to constantly upgrade your ship and weapons systems in order to come back stronger. If you’ve missed this long-dormant genre, this is a great place to reintroduce yourself.

Star Trek actually has a pretty strong track record predicting future tech. What happened, though, is that we reached those technological thresholds far sooner than even they could have imagined in the 1960s. Flip phones, tablets, tricorders, full body scanners and the list goes on (and a lot of that tech was inspired by Star Trek).

Golden Eagle was discovered in early 2017 when drilling the first geochemical target generated from the top of basement drilling program returned a significant intercept of high-grade gold (Xanadu’s ASX announcement – 16 January 2017). KHDDH395 returned 220m grading 0.64g/t Au and 0.15% Cu from 42m, which included a shallow zone of supergene gold enrichment of 26m grading 2.27g/t Au from a depth of 42m.  A total of 4,965.1m of diamond drilling and 1,837.5m of shallow PCD drilling has been completed at Golden Eagle, mostly targeting large scale Au-Cu porphyry mineralisation.

Snow started Friday afternoon with light showers north of Interstate 88 from Chicago up toward Rockford, but the band that left a slight dusting on area roadways Friday afternoon wasn’t the storm that was expected to hit later in the day, said National Weather Service meteorologist Andrew Krein. The larger snowstorm was expected to be followed the next day with a round of lake-effect snow.

The books are Lando Calrissian and the Mindharp of Sharu, Lando Calrissian and the Flamewind of Oseon, and Lando Calrissian and the Starcave of ThonBoka.  – The scene where Lando is chronicling his adventures opens up two possibilities about the con man: 1) The Lando Calrissian Adventures are an in-universe fabrication, created by Lando to make him seem more adventurous than he actually is, and 2) the events in the novels take place before Solo. We’re going to assume the former because it’s more fun. – While recording "The Lando Chronicles," Lando references "the Sharu." They’re the advanced alien race featured in Mindharp of Sharu.  – Lando’s droid companion, played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge with a scene-stealing performance, is named L3-37. The name is reference to "LEET," which is an English alphabet unique to the internet where you use numbers and symbols to replace certain letters. You can read way more about LEET here.  – Both standalones have featured memorable droids and Lucasfilm may be naming them in a specific order. K-2SO stole the show in Rogue One and L3-37 does the same in Solo. If the studio is going in a specific order, then "L3" would follow "K2." By this logic, the next standalone may feature a droid named "M4."
