4. "Silent Hill" (2006)One thing video games have going for them above other media is visual inventiveness — if nothing else, they usually look cool. "Silent Hill" manages to tap into the phenomenal look and tone of the games, while also being a pretty decent movie otherwise — despite a big boring exposition dump right before the climax.
In November 1961, William Radvany, the meat manager at Capitol Food Market on East Marshall Street in downtown Richmond, demonstrated a new $12,000 machine that aimed to save the butcher a lot of work: It wrapped, weighed, labeled and priced meats.
I also want to highlight the good work done at Greens Creek on slide 11, which, as Phil notes, is our most important mine, that generates about half of our cash flow. With the big jump in reserves that we have recorded and the resulting three years or so of mine life addition, the team is working hard on a new technical report. With the revised mine plan reducing the development in the next few years, moving the highest margin material from the end of the mine life to the next few years, we should see a significant increase in the value of the mine.
Until then I don’t think we ever knew how first contact was actually handled other than knowing they make it when a species becomes warp capable.
19. "Tekken" (2010)A perfectly OK movie about people beating the crap out of each other, to match a perfectly OK video game series about people beating the crap out of each other.
@Matt Wright — I agree with respect to deciding to expose themselves to the Jacob. I don’t really agree with the assessment in the article about Saru. I’d argue that especially because it was Saru, who served with Georgiou, and he might have already made up his mind about how to handle an extinction level event for all time. So why waste screen time to retread this debate? Moreover they couldn’t reach Pike, and I rather got the feeling that in order to save Pike and crew stranded on the planet, they would have to stop this event as well. So there was no real debate to be had given that it was the Captain deciding it, and no one to really challenge him, in an era where the PD was not as well defined. I really didn’t have a problem with it.
Burnham also got to show off her talents in the episode, displaying the compassion, bravery, and intelligence that is to be expected of a Star Trek hero. Perhaps in an effort to make the character as likable as possible, Burnham’s flaws took a back seat in “Brother.” She comes up with the plan to get down to the Hiawatha, she saves Pike from certain death in the cold of space, she fixes Reno’s transporter room, and even in sickbay, she finds time to do the math for Tilly’s capture of the space rock.
The story of Robert Durst is a strange one, filled with disappearances, murder, dismemberment, and bad disguises. The six-episode documentary miniseries goes through the story of Durst’s early life and the disappearance of his wife, through two other deaths, and ends with a possible bombshell break in the case. It’s the kind of binge watch material that’s hard to pull away from.

Drake can usually get the floor moving on his own, but for party-starter “Nice for What,” he called in reinforcements. The song starts with a sample of the queen of New Orleans bounce, Big Freedia, asking "who mothafuckin’ representin’ in here tonight.” Then Drake slides in with a call to “get your mothafuckin’ roll on,” another New Orleans hat-tip — this one to the Big Tymers and their 2000 classic “Get Your Roll On.” Producer Murda Beatz had already blessed the song with a pitched-up flip of the bridge of Lauryn Hill’s “Ex-Factor,” but Drake’s team then invited New Orleans producer BlaqNmilD to chop up the song even more and add in that heavier bounce beat, which makes the whole thing go crazy. Meanwhile, Drake does his usual Drake stuff, giving props to women who pay their bills, don’t need men to succeed and just want to go out with their girls to the club (“And you showin’ off, but it’s all right/It’s a short life”). But in a surprising turn, neither dance craze nor quotable lyric made "Nice for What" such an enduring hit: The secret is all in that beat, which bounced it to a No. 1 debut on the Hot 100 and kept it up there for eight weeks. – C.W.
