OK. You laughed at the NX-01. Even though the show was not well received the consensus seems to be that it did a good job with the look and feel of the ship. While this doesn’t diminish your opinion on this matter yours appears to be the minority one.

Agreed. And I have been saying this for nearly a year now. I had a lot of problems with the first season but I understand it was the first season and TV shows CAN improve because they are TV shows and not films. THey have all the time in the world to get it right if enough people are watching. I think every Trek show has improved the longer they went on with the exception of TOS which was great in the beginning but got worse in the end. But thats the only exception and TOS is kind of its own thing anyway.

This is a reference to Princess Leia, who calls Han a "flyboy" in A New Hope.  – Enfys Nest’s group of marauders, The Cloud-Riders, turn out to be a diverse group of freedom fighters from across the galaxy who want Crimson Dawn’s stolen coaxium because it’s "the blood that brings life to something new." This seems to indicate that The Cloud-Riders are on one of the splinter cells that eventually came together to become the Rebel Alliance. The Ghost crew from Rebels was another such group. – The Cloud-Riders actually first appeared in the old Legends canon. The original Cloud-Riders first appeared in classic Marvel comic, Star Wars #8, a story titled "Eight for Aduba-3" — the same issue that introduced Jaxxon, that green rabbit dude whom you still can’t believe in a Star Wars character. In this story, the Cloud-Riders are raiders who attack a village on Aduba-3 once a year, burning crops and kidnapping the woman. Han and Chewie organized a group called the Star-Hoppers of Aduba-3 in order to combat the evil raiders, Magnificent Seven style.  Shout out to commenter Derek Whaley for pointing this one out to me!

Here we have the exact opposite in many ways: Pike is the thoughtful, level-headed commander who we not just remember from, but who clearly appears shaped by his experience in The Cage in not dismissing anything at first hand; a justification for tech (spore drive) that is rooted in the story rather than the other way round; a mystery that speaks to us in ways beyond just adding lore to this fictitious universe.

These scientists are proud of their models. The do a marvellous job at simulating a realistic planet … except for the details. To paraphrase Alley, if you put in extra CO₂ then the models fail miserably at hind-casting known, historical climate. If you don’t put in the extra CO₂ then the models fail even worse.

There is more being discussed here, than just Feldman. I do notice that you cannot, and do not dispute what Stephens 2012 stated. Or, what I asserted from it … there is no statistical significance in the DLR data that Stephens 2012 discussed in that quote. Feldman 2015 used only “clear sky” observations, yet, Earf does not exist under just “clear sky” conditions. Kiehl & Trenberth 1997 tells us that Earf has an ”… observed cloudiness of about 62%.” I can take a guess as to why Feldman avoids “all sky” conditions … because, they cannot show a damn thing, if they do.
