Agreed. And I have been saying this for nearly a year now. I had a lot of problems with the first season but I understand it was the first season and TV shows CAN improve because they are TV shows and not films. THey have all the time in the world to get it right if enough people are watching. I think every Trek show has improved the longer they went on with the exception of TOS which was great in the beginning but got worse in the end. But thats the only exception and TOS is kind of its own thing anyway.

The concept of this World War III-era community living for 200 years on their own deep in the Beta Quadrant raises so many questions. Alas, we came away with very few answers as there was only a surface level exploration of this society. Even the only two characters from the planet who get any exploration – Jacob and the All Mother – seemed to be proxies for Michael Burnham and Captain Pike, acting as extensions for their discussions over science and faith.

VR loves mechs, and it’s not hard to see why. The experience of sitting inside a cockpit, realistically interacting with your controls and unleashing a barrage of missiles or lasers is unbeatable. Nowhere is that more evident than with Skydance’s multiplayer expansion to Archangel, which gives you full control over a war machine of your choosing. An intuitive control scheme that makes great use of motion controllers and expansive maps that allow you to play out cinematic battles make this a blockbuster VR game you shouldn’t miss.
I still want to know why the Crossfield-class starships seem to have such a vast abundance of hollow unused space on the inside. The turbolift sequence was hella cool, but the cavernous guts of Discovery just don’t seem to jibe with the exterior scale of the ship we’ve seen up until now.
I didn’t say they won’t be problems with the show overall, I’m talking about the advance technology presented and you know it.
