OLR is the planet’s radiative cooling to space. In order to monitor it, you’d have to be IN SPACE. We don’t have spectral resolution, nor adequate accuracy, in satellites, to confirm (or, deny) your accusation that the OLR has increased in response to human anything. We can see that OLR has gone up, and we know LR tracks temperature, regardless of going up or down. You fanatically argue that Feldman and pals, using AERI equipment, have spectrally and accuratly dissected DLR …. but we have nothing like space-based AERI.
I said the same thing the day after the season 1 finale. That it had a flawed, but enjoyable and promising start, and that if it continued the trajectory in quality of TNG and DS9, it could go down as the greatest Trek series ever.

If BTS proved that conscious K-pop can cross over, IU makes the case for deeply personal K-pop. Korea’s chart-topping songbird IU delivers a warning shot to haters and critics with this deceptively sweet and bouncy R&B cut, which finds her giving a "yellow C-A-R-D" to those who disrespect and infringe on someone’s privacy. The single not only comments on IU’s experiences in the public life, but it doubles as a universal empowerment anthem, knowing and acknowledging one’s worth and personal rights. – JEFF BENJAMIN
There is evidence of warming, but, as I pointed out, the magnitude of the warming is arguable. However, evidence of warming does not implicate a cause of the warming. There is no observational evidence to back up your statement. The only such ‘evidence’ comes from the climate models. Nothing else. You only have a statistical inference from the climate models, and observations of global average surface-air Tamperature.
“It took the very core out of me to watch this pristine farm get torn up like this,” Martin said. “It just hurt.”
Twenty-plus Harlemites in their baggy, early-2000s best rocking at canted angles away from the camera, arranged on courtyard steps — this is a movement. This is what power looks like. This is what’s really good. That image primes you for Juelz Santana’s opening line: Today is a new day. And if you haven’t got the message, the beat shifts midway through the video into the magisterial “I Really Mean It” to drop an immaculate Cam’ron into your living room, stepping out of an Escalade in custom pink Dipset Timbs. Truly, did we dream this? – R.S.
Well, I’ll start, and then I’ll let Larry and Dean jump in. But I think the biggest surprise and disappointment was the Klondex didn’t follow the budget that they had presented to us. And so, as a result, the amount of development that was done was significantly less than was supposed to be done. And so, as a result, it really has caused us to have to really focus and reestablish the mine. That’s probably the biggest thing from my perspective. Larry?
The formula for “Lucid Dreams” isn’t anything new — it pairs hazy production underlined by an acoustic guitar (borrowed from Sting’s “Shape of My Heart”) with dark lyrics about coping with a broken heart. What is new, though, is that a SoundCloud rapper found his way to top 40 radio (and hit No. 7 on Billboard’s Pop Songs chart) thanks to the song’s crossover appeal via its unusually melodic backbone and undeniably catchy chorus. Whether blaring through the speakers at a club or on headphones in your bedroom, “Lucid Dreams” is a speak-your-truth soundtrack for anyone’s half-conscious reality. – L.H.
Giving the attorney general a deadline, the chairs of top House committees said they needed to make an "independent assessment of the evidence" from the special counsel’s probe
A ska song going top five in 2018? We weren’t expecting it, and frankly, the Interrupters weren’t, either: “It’s like we have a seat at the table we didn’t even know was there for us,” guitarist Kevin Bivona told Billboard, calling in from a Warped Tour parking lot back in July. Since that interview, the L.A. punks’ incendiary single rose to No. 4 on the Alternative Songs chart, making them the first female-fronted ska band since No Doubt almost two decades ago to soar so high. On the surprise hit, frontwoman Aimee "Interrupter" Allen – who’d been through the major label ringer as a solo artist some 15 years earlier – fights her way out of an abusive relationship among snake-charmer-succinct guitar grooves and group-vocal fireworks. – CHRIS PAYNE
